The CIC-Ghana Campus

Located on a large, beautifully landscaped property in Airport Residential, CIC-Ghana is a newly-completed educational facility that is spacious and modern. Found at the end of a quiet urban street, students are encouraged to think of the campus as their home away from home. There are recently outfitted computer, biology, chemistry, and physics labs as well as a comprehensive collection of resources in the library. Throughout the campus there is plenty of space for students to study, relax, or work in small groups.

  Student Life

As CIC-Ghana continues to grow, so too does its extra-curricular programming. We offer on-site individual tutorials, student representative council, leadership development, athletics, academic and personal counseling, study groups, and community involvement programs. Student-initiated clubs could include activities such as drama, creative writing, debate, photography, Web 2.0, or board games. There are local opportunities to take part in soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming, and aerobics, to name but a few.

Boarding Facilities

As CIC-Ghana is a day and boarding school, students can register to live in one of our student residences. Our student residence program features separate, off-campus homes for girls and boys in a nearby residential community. Each of the executive-style houses has a live-in house matron, security provisions, and many of the comforts of home. Meals, as well as transportation to and from the school, are provided. Students are expected to participate and cooperate in their home community, while closely following the school’s boarding policies.

Which curriculum do we use?

We use the world-class curriculum from Manitoba to provide students with the best possible post-secondary opportunities in Ghana and abroad. Manitoba is a Canadian province in the centre of Canada that has a dynamic economy, a diverse multicultural population, and a longstanding commitment to educational excellence.

Representatives from the Manitoba International Education Branch regularly conduct inspections to ensure that the curriculum, the faculty, and the facility meet their expectations and curricular standards. These inspections give CIC Ghana certification and guarantee that our students will be recognized as Manitoba graduates upon their completion of the graduation requirements.

The Credit System

Manitoba Education requires that a student earn a minimum of twenty-nine (29) credits to graduate from High School (Grades 9 - 12). In order for a student to achieve a credit he/she must complete 110 hours for a full credit, or 55 hours for a half credit, and obtain a minimum of 50% in each course. CIC-Ghana students will complete more than the minimum number of hours and our minimum percentage will be 60% in order to achieve credit.
